About the Role

Job Title: Mobile Hair Stylist/Beautician

Responsibilities:

Travel to clients' homes to provide hair styling and beauty services.
Provide personalized hair styling, cutting, coloring, and treatment recommendations based on individual client preferences and needs.
Stay updated on the latest hair styling trends and techniques.
Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned and sterilized according to health and safety regulations.
Maintain professional relationships with clients and build a personal clientele through effective communication and customer service.
Manage appointment scheduling and timely arrival at client locations.
Manage inventory of hair products and tools.
Skills/Qualifications:

State-approved cosmetology license.
Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or Beautician.
Proficiency in a range of hair styling, cutting, and coloring techniques.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Clean driving license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time.
Basic computer skills for managing online appointments.

Requirements

Education and Certification:

  1. Completion of a state-approved cosmetology program or an equivalent hairstyling/beautician training program.

  2. A valid license in cosmetology or a related field from the state board of cosmetology.

Skills and Experience:

  1. Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or Beautician.

  2. Proficiency in hair straightening and curling methods, using hot irons and curlers.

  3. Proficiency in a variety of hair coloring techniques.

  4. Knowledge of a wide range of haircuts, suitable for all hair lengths and types.

  5. Knowledge of cosmetology trends and a broad understanding of the beauty industry.

  6. A good understanding of various skin types and the suitable beauty treatments for each.

  7. Ability to provide personalized services based on individual client needs.

Other Requirements:

  1. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  2. High degree of flexibility in scheduling and travel.

  3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  4. Professional demeanor with a passion for the beauty industry.

  5. Basic computer skills for scheduling appointments and communicating with clients.

  6. Clean and valid driving license (as it involves traveling to clients' homes).

  7. Physical stamina to stand for long hours.

  8. Ability to maintain cleanliness and sterilization of beauty tools and work area.
